Marlene Esquivel is creative director and founder of VELLE CREATIVE, a graphic design studio in the greater Los Angeles area.

An accomplished art director and graphic designer with international experience in various areas of print and web design. She has experience managing and directing specialty teams of graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, videographers, programmers as well as overseeing all aspects of production management to deliver materials that meet client needs on time and on budget.

Marlene's creative, conceptual and design talents are strengthened by a rich multicultural background. Being a native of South Africa, a Portuguese national and an American resident, she is fluent in various languages from English, Portuguese and Spanish to Afrikaans. But more importantly her travels have broadened her perspective and understanding of design that communicates across cultures.

Since moving to the United States in 2003, Marlene has won various industry awards, including the 2006 Silver Summit Creative Award, four Graphic Design USA Inhouse Design Awards, five Communicator Print Awards of Excellence and Distinction, and four MarCom Creative Gold and Platinum Awards.
